TO ALL dog owners, please consider cat owners.
Recently a very nasty incident in our area involved two Staffordshire Bull Terriers and a beautiful little cat.
We had the grim task of discovering this cat in our garden. What we know is that the dogs in question had apparently escaped through a hole in a fence of the owner.
Needless to say, the cat died.
The police were called and located the owner of the dogs, only to be told by the owner that "they are waiting for the fence to be fixed by Lewisham Council".
To our knowledge they were given a stiff warning and advised that this is a possible prosecuting offence.
If you can't afford to pay to fix a fence then surely you cant afford to keep dogs either.
Next time it could be a child.
