THE letter I wrote (Cyclists Must Obey The Rules Of The Road, News Shopper, May 14) is my personal opinion.

To agree or disagree with me is your option. Thanks to newspapers such as News Shopper, we are given an outlet to let others know our views, like it or not.

In response to the three letters which appeared in the May 21 edition and in my defence, nowhere in my letter did I say I hated cyclists.

Nor am I the self-centred, deluded poser in my little tin box which B Streeter seems to believe I am.

My comments were not made with breathtaking ignorance and hypocrisy, as suggested by John Norman, and I made no mention as to where the road tax money was spent, so Ms Pullan's remark I was incorrect in this came only from her own mind.

However, Ms Pullan is correct to say zero emission vehicles do not pay road tax I also said some cyclists do follow the rules of the road and I myself have ridden both bicycles and motorbikes.

So if you want to have a go at someone else's personal opinion, please do, this is your right, but please be accurate with your remarks.
