I AM a former pupil of Westwood College and I am proud to have been educated there.
I left last summer and I'm fed up with repeatedly reading the slander aimed at my old school.
I'm now attending college and on my daily journey's I hear the activities of other schools in the area are far worse than anything I have I experienced at Westwood College.
From experience I find the problems described in residents' complaints are not all the fault of the students at Westwood.
I am not trying to relieve all Westwood pupils totally of blame, but I know The Green is a popular place and it is not only Westwood students who hang out there, others also hang around there to harass Westwood students.
A small proportion of Westwood students may be partly responsible for the damage caused. But can residents of The Green please stop bad mouthing the whole school where the majority of the students are blameless.
If you want to make accusations, try finding all the facts. I suggest looking towards Crown Woods and Eaglesfield Schools.
It is time Westwood students were able to defend themselves against the local residents some of whose attitudes and behaviour is far worse than that of the students.
