Would just like to say well done to the person who wrote the excellent letter regarding the proposed move of Sidcup library to a new site (the old Blockbuster building).

It is absolute madness and most people I know agree.

It does not appear that the public were consulted on this decision.

I do not think a cinema is the best use of the space either - Bexleyheath and Bluewater are adequate. What a good idea regarding getting a Wilkinson or similar is.

We've no hope of getting the council's decision overturned though. They are allowing the demolition of beautiful buildings to have retirement flats built and any small area of land redeveloped.

As if the south east isn't crowded enough, adding to congestion on roads, parking problems, overcrowding of schools and making appointments at doctors and dentists impossible.
