As a resident in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, I really do not understand why I cannot park my car near my supermarket or church without resulting in a parking fine.

Whilst I fully appreciate the frustration of residents unable to find parking places near their homes, I too, pay council tax as well as car tax to use any road.

I feel that this parking system has gone parking mad.

For those unable to walk to church or to the shops, doctors and dental appointments, they are unable to drive their car because of parking restrictions.

The times need to be changed to allow everyone to access our facilities whether they choose to walk, ride or drive.

The council should be fair to all residents and change the times to accommodate everyone and raise community spirit.
