A good crowd gathered at St Mary Cray’s Croft Tearoom for the book launch of Beautiful Colours.

Featuring contributions from members of the Croft Poetry Group, who meet at the Tearoom, the book is a compendium of original art and poems.

The book’s editor Jerry Dowlen hardly had time to sup his tea such was the demand from those there who wanted to buy copies, some as mementos, some to show family and friends, and some to give as Christmas presents.

Jerry said: “We have lots of talented local artists and writers whose work deserves to be seen and enjoyed. Community publishing is a great vehicle for achieving this as can be seen in Beautiful Colours ”

This is the latest imprint from Orpington based community publishing house Cray 150 Publications, set up by Jerry eight years ago. Previous anthologies include Raising The Roof, From My Window, and Marvellous Dreams.
