Sensory Sunday is back.
Centre Manager, Shelley Filippi said “following the success of our first Sensory Sunday event which took place on 18 June 2017, this event will now take place on the second Sunday of each month. The event is to enable shoppers and their families with sensory impairments or issues to visit the centre in a quiet, comfortable atmosphere.
We have asked our tenants to either turn off or turn down in-store music and we will be isolating the hand driers (hand towels will be provided) in our public toilets. Overwhelming noise is a common barrier to autistic people accessing shops. Where possible, tannoy announcements and other controllable noise should will reduced.
We will also be taking part in Autism hour on Monday 2 October at 10am”
Further information can be found on the centres web site.
Dates for 2017: 10 September 8 October 12 November 10 December
