Visitors will be able to learn about fire safety at Sidcup fire station’s open day.
Crews will be opening the doors to the station in Main Road on Sunday, August 13th, from midday to 4.45pm.
There will be various stalls and events as well as plenty of refreshments on offer including a hog roast and an ice cream van.
Guests can speak to the crews about the day-to-day work of firefighters and they will also be on hand to give out fire safety information, including the importance of having working smoke alarms.
Animal lovers will be pleased to hear there will be a visit from the Brigade’s fire investigation dog.
A London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Fire station open days are a fun family day out.
“You can meet your local crews and find out more about the day to day work they carry out in your local community and have fun looking at all the equipment and sitting in the fire engines.
“There’s also a chance to learn more about the fire safety work we do, which is important for everyone to be aware of.
“So come and join our Sidcup firefighters for their event this weekend.”
