In between 1958 and their official retirement in 1988 the much loved folk band, The Spinners, played at sell out gigs at the major UK concert halls as well as appeared on the BBC with regular series and Christmas Specials.

Sadly Cliff Hall died in 2008 and big Tony Davis in early 2017 but the two surviving members of the band, Mick Groves and Hughie Jones, have agreed to play as the Spinners Legends in a rare concert together at the Orpington Liberal Club on Friday, 8 September.

Life- long Spinners fan Dave Harper has also been busy mustering support acts Rosina Kerry-Anne Brewer and Frank McConnell to play on what is going to be an epic night of music.

“I spotted young Rosina busking at Winchester and just had to ask her if she would perform whilst Kent musician Frank McConnell jumped at the chance of supporting the Spinners Legends,” said Dave.

“Although both Mick and Hughie have played at Orpington Liberal Club individually, this will be the first and possibly final time they will appear together in the South East,” he added.

Tickets at just £12 are available from the bar of the Orpington Liberal Club with enquiries to Dave 07852 178830.
