Zoe Ball is reportedly set to return to Radio and join Greatest Hits Radio.
The 55-year-old broadcaster, who stepped back from the BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show, is said to have taken up the new role after being overlooked for a presenting slot on Strictly Come Dancing.
If she were to move stations, Ball would be following in the footsteps of other former BBC Radio hosts, including Simon Mayo and Ken Bruce.
Zoe Ball reportedly moving to Greatest Hits
A source told The Sun: "Greatest Hits have wanted her for a while, and as soon as Zoe found out about the Strictly job, she decided to take it.
"She absolutely loves being a radio presenter, and after stepping away from her BBC Radio 2 Breakfast Show a year ago, she took time to think about what she wanted.
"She knows so many people at the commercial station and can’t wait to get started.
"She is due to join the station this autumn."
The BBC recently announced that the new series of Strictly is set to be hosted by Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe.
Ball auditioned for the presenting role but said she was "chuffed" just to be considered.
Speaking on the Dig It! podcast, she said: "I was so chuffed to even be in the mix.
"There were some pretty amazing people who didn't even make it into the mix.
"So I made it in the mix, and I had a really fun time having one last little play at a show that I love and adore.
"And I'm so thrilled for the gang that has got it.
"I think there's been so many eyes on this whole process – everyone's quite relieved now that a decision has been made and the right decision has been made."
She also joked about going through a "grieving process" after missing out on the job.
Ball was the first female host of both the Radio 1 and Radio 2 breakfast shows.
