Tributes are being made as English-French singer and actress Jane Birkin has died aged 76.
As reported by French media BFMTV, the late star was found at her home by her caregiver.
Birkin was famed for lending her name to the Hermes Birkin designer handbag.
The actress was born in Marylebone London and was most known for her roles in movies Death on the Nile, Evil Under the Sun and The Swimming Pool.
Although a star in her own right, Birkin gained international fame from her on and off-screen relationship with Serge Gainsbourg.
The pair share one daughter together, Charlotte Gainsbourg who is also a French actress.

Fans of the singer and actress have taken to social media to share their tributes.
As one fan on Twitter wrote: "Rest in peace to one of my idols, Jane Birkin. You will forever be remembered."
Whilst another wrote: "Very sad news: Farewell to the iconic Jane Birkin, who passed away at the age of 76. What an extraordinary life, worth of thousand lifetimes it was. R.I.P."
