TAYLOR Swift announced yesterday she would be returning to the UK for the first time in five years in 2024 with her Eras Tour.

The American pop star – known for her songs including Anti-Hero, Shake It Off and Blank Space – will playing in Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff, London and Dublin as part of the UK and Ireland leg of her Eras Tour.

Swift made the announcement last night on social media.

In the post, she said: "EXCUSE ME HI I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.

"I can’t wait to see so many of you on The Eras Tour next year at these new international dates!"

Fans will have to register for access to ticket sales on Taylor Swift’s official website or through Ticketmaster.

People in the UK have until Thursday, June 22 at 11.59pm to register.

According to ticketing experts, searches for "Taylor Swift UK tour" have increased by over 4900% in the last week alone.

So it comes as no surprise that her tour is the most searched in the UK.

Swift’s last UK tour in 2018 – Reputation – sold out all 53 dates with more than 2 million tickets sold, earning the singer an estimated £280 million.

Gilad Zilberman, SeatPick co-founder, said: “Swift’s tour is inescapable on social media, meaning international fans will be preparing themselves for buying tickets.

"This is proving to be one of if not the biggest tour Taylor has ever done.

"Her songs are more popular now than ever and this new tour is clearly reflecting that."

Expert reveals the best ways to secure Taylor Swift tickets

With such a high demand for Taylor Swift tickets, even if you register, you are still not guaranteed a spot at one of her concerts.

With this in mind, ticketing experts at SeatPick have come up with six ways that they hope will help people secure a ticket to arguably the most highly anticipated tour of 2023/24.

1. Ensure you register for tickets

SeatPick co-founder Zilberman explains that in order to have the best shot at getting tickets, you need to register on Taylor Swift's Ticketmaster website first, where you’ll be able to choose your preferred location.

He said: "Although, Ticketmaster stress this doesn’t guarantee you a ticket.

"You’ll be contacted on July 5 by Ticketmaster letting you know whether you’ve received an 'on-sale code' or placed on a waiting list."

You only have until 11.59pm tomorrow (June 22) to do so, so you better hurry.

As well as this, it’s important to get your loved ones to register too!

Zilberman said the more people registering for tickets may increase your chances of success.

2. Check all relevant pre-sales

This one’s for the fans who pre-ordered her Midnights album.

Zilberman said: "If you did, you’ll be happy to know that you’ll receive a pre-sale code for doing so.

"Look out for an email notifying you of the pre-sale dates and your opportunity to choose your preferred cities."

Like Ticketmaster, this doesn't guarantee you a ticket.

The dates for UK pre-sale tickets are July 10, 11 and 12.

Be sure to check your spam folder, if you haven't received anything, just in case so you don’t miss out.

3. Ensure you have a Ticketmaster account

You want to minimise issues on the day, so ensure everybody trying to secure the tickets for you has signed up and logged in to Ticketmaster first.

The SeatPick expert explained this allows you to save a few "vital" seconds in the process of paying and securing your tickets.

Ensure your payment details are set up too.

Zilberman said: "It could make all the difference."

4. Never refresh the page.

Once you are in the ticket queue, NEVER be tempted to refresh. You may lose all your hard work and get kicked to the back of the very long queue.

Being patient and not panicking is key to success.

5. Don’t panic if tickets sell out straight away.

Missed the tickets? Be sure to check back on the sites after they say they're sold out.

Zilberman said: "Sometimes ticket payments don't go through, the website crashes and more tickets are still available.

"Keep checking for roughly two hours after release. You might just be lucky."

Also, keep an eye out for additional dates.

Zilberman added: "There will be a higher-than-usual demand for international tickets, which means additional dates may be added, so don’t panic if you aren’t lucky the first time around."

6. Only purchase from sellers you know and trust.

SeatPick says although it might be tempting to purchase a ticket elsewhere if you weren’t successful on the day, be wary of who you’re buying from and do your research beforehand.

Zilberman added: "Never allow someone to send you a screenshot of a ticket as these are invalid or send payment before receiving the tickets.

"If something looks too good to be true, it probably is."
