Katie Price has been charged with driving without third party insurance and driving whilst disqualified following a crash near her home in Sussex on Tuesday, Sussex Police said.

The reality TV star reportedly required hospital treatment after the road traffic accident on Tuesday.

The 43-year-old is understood to be banned from driving after being given a two-year driving disqualification in October 2019.

Katie served an 18-month disqualification after withholding the identity of the driver of her pink Range Rover during a crash.

She then was told to serve another six months off the road when she called DVLA for her new licences as a result of another speeding offence.

Katie’s family shared concerns over the "wellbeing and overall mental health".

In the statement, her family said "As a family we have for some time been concerned about Kate's wellbeing and overall mental health.

"Today our worst fears nearly came true. As a family we have been and will continue to help Kate get the help she needs.

"We hope that she will realise that she cannot battle her issues alone.”
