Plans for a large expansion to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich will be put ahead of Greenwich planning officers.
The new three-storey, 12.4m high extension will be at the north east of the existing hospital and will cover 6,200sqm, roughly the size of 20 tennis courts.
The new extension will not increase the number of bed spaces within the hospital and staff numbers will remain the same.
The new space is primarily to provide additional space for the hospital’s existing operations, including more clinical space as other new planned infrastructure improvement works take place.
The application was submitted in October 2017 and the plans go ahead of the planning committee on January 9.
