A HAYES “teen queen” hopeful is considering modelling as a career after enjoying her experience competing in a top UK beauty pageant.

Niamh Molloy, 13, was hand-picked when shopping at Bluewater two months ago with her mother to enter the 2013 Teen Queen UK competition.

Before being spotted Miss Molloy, of Chatham Avenue, says she had never considered being a model full-time.

She said: “I had really never thought about modelling before I went to London to have my photo taken for the competition.

“It was a really good experience but it was quite strange because I had never done it before."

Her family are now trying to encourage people to support Miss Molloy by voting by text.

If the Hayes Secondary school pupil finishes in the top two positions after voting closes at Sunday’s 11:30pm she will go through to the final.

“I think she has a pretty good chance,” said sister Katie Molly, of Chatham Avenue. “She is really excited about the competition.

“We are all hoping that she will do well.”
