A Bromley nightclub is set to reopen under a new name after the remaining coronavirus restrictions are lifted.

Dance Drink and Entertainment Ltd is rebranding Ora Nightclub, on Widmore Road, as Club Liberation, which could open seven days a week.

A pending licensing application, currently open for consultation, outlines potential hours as 10am to 4am Monday to Saturday, and until 3am on Sunday.

If granted, the club would be allowed to provide entertainment, including sport, music and films, while serving alcohol, into the early hours.

Peter Bell, Operations Director for Dance Drink and Entertainment Ltd, said: "It is an exciting time for us, we have had countless visits to Bromley over the last few months and have fell in love with the venue formerly called Ora.’

“It is a great venue in a great town, and everyone’s been so friendly.

“I have met with the licensing police and given them our strategy for the building, incorporating a host of points they have raised, will ensure the venue fits the DNA of Bromley.

"Although we are a new company, between our CEO and myself we boast over 80 years in the Entertainment and Hospitality industry and a huge part of that is working alongside the local Authorities.

“They have been really supportive and we are determined to make this venue something we can all be proud of in Bromley’’.

When it last opened prior to the pandemic, Ora offered "three floors of luxury with the best cocktails around" and only opened on Friday and Saturday, closing at 2am.

Fears have already been raised about the potential impact of the new opening hours on neighbours.
