A lorry carrying a trailer owned by a haulage firm which specialises in transporting “dangerous and hazardous goods” crashed into an Eden Park bridge this morning.

The HGV was pictured on its side underneath the rail bridge at around 8.30am.

It is understood the lorry was carrying a trailer owned by a firm which specialises "in the carriage of dangerous and hazardous goods including fertiliser.”

There is no suggestion any hazardous material leaked out at this stage. No one was injured in the incident.

The accident caused disruption to train services travelling from Hayes to Bromley and Lewisham.

Following an inspection of the bridge for damage, trains are again running normally.

Traffic is also now running through the area as normal.
