Commuters face delays this evening following a crash in Chislehurst.
Trains heading to Chislehurst are being delayed after a lorry crashed into a bridge on Summer Hill Road. at about 5.45pm.
The crash happened between Petts Wood and Elmstead Woods.
National Rail said trains are having to run at reduced speeds, and many services may be cancelled, delayed or revised.
UPDATE: #Chislehurst @networkrail has cleared the bridge to allow trains run at 20MPH whilst they continue their checks. this will result in some delays to faster services through the station. Sorry for the delay this will cause.

Trains through Chislehurst are being delayed whilst the bridge is examined and until the line is checked trains will be running slowly.
Commuters are being warned to allow extra time for their journeys
Disruption is expected until 7pm tonight.
UPDATE: Safety checks have been completed and trains are now running at full speed through the area. Safe journey!
