The roof and first floor of a house was destroyed in a fire in Beckenham last night.
Six fire engines and 35 firefighters from the London Fire Brigade were called to the house in Limewood Close at 10.52pm.
A woman escaped the house before the arrival of the firefighters.
Fire crews from Beckenham, Woodside, Forest Hill, Addington, West Norwood and Bromley fire stations turned up at the scene.
The fire damaged the soffit and facia of an adjacent property and was under control by 2.13am this morning.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
