The cold snap is set to continue in the capital but not before a milder, but much wetter start to the week.
Monday will be wet and windy, with rain easing in the afternoon but scattered showers following later. There will be a maximum temperature of 10C.
The showers and winds will ease leading to a mostly dry night, which will allow a frost to form and a minimum temperature of minus 1C.
Tuesday will be frosty to begin with, then dry, cold and mostly sunny during the morning.
Scattered showers are possible, but not likely, in the afternoon, with a maximum temperature of 6C expected and a low of minus 1C.
From Wednesday to Friday, it will remain cold, mainly dry and breezy with sunny spells followed by widespread frost overnight.
Sleet is forecast for Friday.
