A fifth teenager has been charged with the murder of a 17-year-old in Penge.

Michael Jonas, 17, was found with knife wounds in Betts Park at about 7.20pm on November 2.

Police attempted emergency first aid on the teenager but he was pronounced dead just after 8.15pm.

A 16-year-old was arrested and charged on Friday, November 24, and has been remanded in custody to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court today (Monday, November 27).

A post-mortem examination the day after Michael died at the Princess Royal University Hospital confirmed the cause of death as stab wounds to the chest and haemorrhage.

Another 16-year-old has also been charged with murder. He has been remanded in custody to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court today. 

Four males aged 18, 17, 15, and 16 were also arrested in connection with the murder but have been released without charged.
