A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a body was found on train tracks at Knockholt.

Police investigating the death of a 24-year-old man from Croydon have arrested a 37-year-old man "from the local area".

He attended a police station himself and is assisting with enquiries, according to a British Transport Police spokesman,

The BTP is investigating after the driver on Sunday's 11.40pm Sevenoaks to Charing Cross train reported seeing the body.

The death was not initially thought to be suspicious, but "new information" came to light and a murder investigation was launched yesterday.
