Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 17-year old was killed in a park in Penge.

Michael Jonas was found by officers with stab wounds in his chest in Betts Park on November 2.

Police attempted emergency first aid on the teenager but they couldn’t save him and he was pronounced dead just after 8.15pm.

The park is just around the corner from where Michael grew up, had learnt to ride his bike, and where his family still live.

A 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in custody at a south London police station.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested on Saturday, November 4, but was released with no further action.
