BEXLEY College has new faces in two of its top jobs.
Governors at the Tower Road, Erith, college have appointed David Gleed as its new principal and chief executive, while Penny Morgan has been appointed vice principal for curriculum and quality.
Mr Gleed has been fulfilling both of his new roles in an interim capacity since September 2007.
Ms Morgan joined Bexley from Havering College in East London, where she has held a range of senior curriculum and management roles for a number of years.
Michael Clark, chair of the corporation which runs the college, said: “We are pleased to welcome both these colleagues to their respective roles at Bexley.
He said “We are confident that David’s leadership and strategic management qualities will ensure our profile, as a provider of high quality learning opportunities for the borough, will continue to grow.
He added: “This is a key moment for both the college and throughout the borough, as the demand for skills and training is so crucial to the local economy.”
