While Storm Eleanor batters the north of the UK, the people and inanimate objects of London have had an up and down experience with the weather.

This trampoline, spotted making a run for it in Abbey Wood, deciding to bounce from its original home.

Kellie Wareing snapped the runaway trampoline, writing: “anyone missing a trampoline, it’s near Seacourt Road”.

Winds of up to 80mph had buffeted the capital city, with this trampoline not the only commuter impacted by the storm.

Storm Eleanor forced the Dartford Tunnel to close last night, which continued to cause chaos for people travelling to work in the morning, and many homes lost power as well.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind and told people to watch out for flying debris, including but not limited to children’s backyard bouncy exercise equipment.

Meteorologist Emma Sharples said: “There is likely to be some disruption possibly to public transport, bridges and other public services such as mobile phones and people need to be aware that there could be debris as well.”
