POLICE have released an image of a man wanted in connection with a “particularly nasty” stabbing at Westcombe Park Station earlier this year.

A 20-year-old man passed out after suffering stab wounds to the thigh and lower back during the attack on April 16 at around 6.30pm.

Two of his attackers were jailed this year and police are keen to trace Olawale Kolebaje, 19, from Lee Green, who appears in CCTV footage at the scene.

Detective Sergeant Pete Thrush said: “After an investigation by detectives, two men were arrested, charged and sentenced, but one man who we need to speak to, is still outstanding.

“This was a particularly nasty attack which caused the victim to pass out on the platform immediately after the incident. He was then taken to hospital where he received treatment for his injuries.

“I urge the public to take a look at the photograph and get in touch if you have any information about the whereabouts of Mr Kolebaje.

“Frightening offences like this are very rare on the rail network but, when they do occur, are treated with the utmost seriousness.”

Tobi Anjmashaun pleaded guilty to affray and was sentenced to 12 months in prison at Blackfriars Court on August 3.

Hilary Gbenoba gave a guilty plea to affray and possession of an offensive weapon and received 30 months imprisonment on the same day.
