A 56-YEAR-OLD man has admitted he was the masked attacker who smashed up a St Paul’s Cray church and assaulted pensioners rehearsing in the church hall.
Six people were taken to hospital after the attack by Malcolm Holland at St Barnabas Church, Rushet Road on July 31.
And car windows, the windows of the vicarage and some at the church were smashed by Holland.
Police charged him with five counts of assault, two counts of criminal damage and one count of possessing a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared at Croydon Crown Court yesterday (October 1) where he pleaded guilty to the charges.
Holland, of Barnfield Road, St Paul's Cray, will be sentenced at the court on November 26.
