The two 15-year-olds, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were brought from secure accommodation in Milton Keynes before a youth court hearing at Dartford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (July 10).
In an 11-minute hearing, the teenagers – one from Camden and another from Islington – were remanded in custody as it was decided the case should be heard in front of a judge at crown court.
They are accused of robbing Bourne and Kemp Jewellers in Station Road, Longfield, on July 3 and of possessing two imitation hand guns.
It is alleged that, at around 5.15pm, one youth pulled two guns out of his waistband and the shop staff were tied up while the shop was raided.
The teenagers will appear again at Dartford Magistrates’ Court on August 7.
