A BLAZE at a kebab shob in Lewisham is now under control.
Two people were in the building when the fire broke out but they have escaped uninjured.
Around 30 firefighters were sent to the takeaway at the junction of Belmont Hill and Lee High Road after a call at 12.06pm.
Crews from Lee Green, Greenwich, Lewisham and Forest Hill brought the fire, which had half of the ground floor alight, under control at around 3pm.
A London Fire Brigade spokesman says it is thought the fire could have started in an extractor fan system.
