A THIRD person has been arrested over the murder of father-of-three Prabjot Singh Rayat in Thamesmead.
The body of Mr Rayat, of Pickford Lane in Bexleyheath, was found at his Rayat Autos business on an industrial estate in Nathan Way, Thamesmead, early on June 8.
A 39-year-old man from Gravesend was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder and is being held at a London police station.
Robert Burrows, aged 33, of Dylan Road, Belevdere, and Surinder Chana, aged 44, of Lower Park Road, Belvedere, were both charged with murder and were remanded in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court yesterday for an Old Bailey hearing on September 21.
A post-mortem examination held on May 9 at Greenwich Mortuary gave 54-year-old Mr Rayat’s cause of death as a stab wound.
