An off-duty police officer chased Perianu in Longfield.
A woman chased down by an off duty-police officer has been locked up for stealing mobile phones.
Maria Perianu, from Tottenham, was arrested in the area of Station Road in Longfield on May 31.
The police officer heard a member of the public alleging two people had just had their phones stolen and chased Perianu, leading to her arrest.
The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to two counts of theft at Medway Magistrates’ Court on June 2 where she was sentenced on the same day by virtual court.
She has been jailed for 240 days.
