Antisocial behaviour hot spot gets £40,000 regeneration
A HOUSING estate is set to get a makeover after being given £40,000 to improve the area.
A derelict car park in the Pike Close estate in Bromley will be transformed into a new garden and play area.
Work has already started on the site, which is a hot spot for antisocial behaviour.
The project is being funded by a £40,000 investment from social housing company Riverside.
Community Initiatives Officer Wendy Mason said: “This project forms part of our mission to stamp out anti-social behaviour and make our communities safer and green.
“When areas are left derelict they can become a magnet for anti social behaviour. We hope that by transforming this space people will take a renewed pride in their neighbourhood.”
