TICKETS have gone on sale for the Olympics opening ceremony silent disco in Gravesend.
The event takes place in Community Square on July 27 from 7.30pm and is organised by Gravesend Council.
It will see up to 1,000 people with their headsets tuned in to the DJ's music.
Tickets cost £5 in advance, £8 on the night, plus a returnable deposit of £5 on the headsets.
A big screen will also be showing the Olympics opening ceremony live.
Council leader, Councillor John Burden, said: "The council wants the community to enjoy the London Games to the full and has involved people from the earliest stage to ensure everyone can play a part.
"These are going to be fun events organised by and for the local communities and we are very pleased to have been able to support them."
