A PEDESTRIAN sustained a head injury and a broken shoulder when he was hit by a car just seconds after he got off a bus.
The man, who is believed to be around 25 years old, had just got off a bus in High Street, West Wickham, and crossed in front of it when he was struck by a Renault Koleos.
His injuries were at first thought to be life threatening and he was taken by ambulance to St George’s Hospital, Tooting.
The man is now conscious and his condition is described as stable.
Police closed the road for several hours while they dealt with the incident which happened at around 7.50pm on Sunday (April 8).
There have been no arrests.
