MAYFIELD Grammar School’s U13 girls' tag rugby team have been invited to play in an exhibition match at Twickenham after being crowned south east champions.
The squad secured their spot in the regional final after winning the Kent heat at Medway RFC, where their 4-0 final success was refereed by England international La Toya Mason.
In the south east regional finals in Dorking they defeated Ashcombe School by six tries to three, with Priya Kanda getting the Gravesend school off the mark inside 20 seconds.
Mayfield’s reward for their double triumph is a visit to the home of English rugby on April 28.
