AN UNEMPLOYED Dartford man is jogging 10km across London each day in a bid to get noticed by employers.

Liam Morriss, of Almond Road, hands out business cards as he runs around the capital while wearing a t-shirt stating: "I’m a graduate, I’m unemployed and I’m jogging for jobs."

The 24-year-old, who started jogging on March 1, said: "I’m going to do this every day for as long as it takes. It gets quite tiring.

"I'm looking for something new and I'm open to suggestions."

Mr Morriss graduated from Southampton Solent in 2010 with a degree in music industry management but is willing to go into a different career.

He worked at Top Shop in Oxford Street until his contract ended on January 31.

Mr Morriss, who has still not signed on for Job Seekers Allowance, said: "Looking for jobs online was really tedious. You apply for so many and rarely hear back. It's a bit disheartening so I thought I would rather try something else and get out there.

"I want something long term rather than another temp job."

After three days of jogging Mr Morriss was offered an unpaid internship with a law firm.

He told News Shopper: "I considered it but I would rather keep doing what I'm doing and look into something which is paid."

Mr Morriss added: "I'm hoping people will think I have thought of something new and I'm trying something different.

"I'm doing it every day so I'm hoping it looks reliable and I'm willing to put in the effort to learn."
