A WOMAN has been fined £100 for using her mother's disabled blue badge to park while at work.
Stephanie Pettit, aged 46, of Farmfield Road, Downham, was caught out after a parking officer and traffic warden stopped her as she was walking to her car one evening.
This followed a tip off from a member of the public that Pettit was regularly using her mum's badge to park in Beckenham.
The officer and warden discovered the badge belonged to her mother and was returned to Lewisham Council, where it had been issued.
In a taped interview, Pettit admitted acting dishonestly and was summoned to appear at Bromley Magistrates' Court, where she pleaded guilty to breaching the road traffic act.
As well as a fine, she was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
