A LAW centre which had its funding axed by Greenwich Council is continuing its fight in the courts.

Greenwich Community Law Centre, which offers advice in all areas of welfare law, had its entire £196,000 funding swiped out by the council last year as part of a cost-cutting exercise.

The Trafalgar Road organisation which has been existence for 27 years, has issued a notice of appeal after its application for a judicial review of the council decision was declined.

Last month at the High Court, presiding judge Ross Cranston ruled he could “detect no reviewable flaw” in how the council had behaved.
