A VICAR has said farewell to Bromley before moving to Lambeth Palace to become chaplain to the Archbishop of Canterbury Dr Rowan Williams.
On Sunday The Reverend Canon Michael Camp said his goodbyes to St Peter and St Paul Church in Bromley, where he has been vicar since 2001.
The event was marked with a bring-and-share lunch at the church, attended by 130 people.
Father-of-two Canon Camp qualified as a teacher of history and religious education in 1973 at a school in Essex and was ordained in Chelmsford in 1981.
In 1987 he moved to the Rochester diocese to become vicar of St Botolph in Northfleet and then was appointed at St Mary's Church in Hadlow in 1994.
After he moved to Bromley he was heavily involved in setting up Bishop Justus School and has chaired its governing body since it opened in 2003.
