CYCLISTS in north Kent are being urged to sign up to lead community rides in the build up to the Olympics.
Training days for Sky Ride leaders are being held in Gravesend on January 28 and February 4.
Sevenoaks District Council said it is keen to recruit some ride leaders, who would get kit, training support, a recognised qualification and payment for leading rides.
The council said leaders need to be available on Sundays and some Saturdays this spring, summer and autumn to help on at least four rides across Kent. The council said it is planning 10 rides in the district for all levels of experience.
Spaces for the training are limited and must be booked. Swanley, Hextable and other residents in the Sevenoaks district should contact 01732 227000 or e-mail healthyliving@sevenoaks.gov.uk for more information and to book.
