A MAN has been charged with GBH and possession of an offensive weapon after two men were stabbed at a leisure centre.

Unemployed James Campbell, aged 29, of Bayes Close, Sydenham, will appear at Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday.

Police and ambulances were called to The Bridge Leisure Centre in Kangley Bridge Road, Lower Sydenham, at 3.05pm on Tuesday.

The two stab victims, aged 20 and 41, were taken to a south London hospital where their conditions are understood to be stable.

The leisure centre was closed following the incident but has now reopened.
