VOLUNTARY organisations and community groups have the chance to get their hands on £2,000 for schemes which help people living in Bexley.
Bexley’s Corporate Small Grants Scheme is providing £25,000 to be distributed to groups which will benefit the community.
Applications are encouraged from projects which have a link to the Olympics, the Diamond Jubilee, or one of the council’s other priorities, including:
:: Promoting health and well-being
:: Improving the performance of vulnerable children and young people and promoting safety
:: Tackling antisocial behaviour
:: Supporting people’s contribution to the community and prosperity
:: contributing to the council’s strategy for community engagement and consultation
:: strengthening the voluntary sector’s ability to achieve objectives and meet challenges around public service delivery, sustainability and commissioning.
