Ruptured gas main in Kidbrooke
A RUPTURED gas main has caused Kibrooke Park Road to be closed to all traffic.
The London Fire Brigade was called at 4pm today to the ruptured gas main at Kibrooke Park Road near Weigel Road.
Ten firefighters are currently at the scene along with staff from the gas board.
The pipe opposite the David Lloyd leisure centre appears to have been damaged by an excavator.
A cordon of one hundred metres has been put up and the immediate area has been evacuated.
Kibrooke Park Road is closed to traffic which may affect football fans trying to get to the Charlton v Huddersfield game tonight.
