A HOSPITAL has thanked supermarket workers who have donated a series of gifts over the past year.
Hope Augustus and colleagues at ASDA in Charlton have been busy fundraising to provide play equipment for the Safari children’s ward at Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
So far they have provided a flat screen TV, a Wii console, several games and numerous pens, pencils, paints and other art materials.
Last Christmas, Asda also raised money to decorate the ward and give it that a festive feel.
A hospital spokeswoman said: “We appreciate all donations of toys, DVDs and games and we are fortunate to have families that continue to be kind to us.
“However the generosity that Asda has shown us over the past year has been overwhelming.”
