FANCY naming a leisure centre? Now’s your chance.

Lewisham Council is looking for a suitable name for the new centre in Loampit Vale.

The facility, due to open in the first half of 2013, will include two swimming pools, two dance studios, a fitness suite, health spa, climbing wall, crèche and cafe.

Mayor of Lewisham Sir Steve Bullock said: “Ideally we’d like to give the centre a name that reflects the new spirit of regeneration and that encapsulates the social nature of the centre. “Of course, we can think of our own name but Lewisham is home to so many creative people that it would be a waste of talent not to tap into that.”

Names, together with a short explanation for your choice, can be emailed to sportandleisure@lewisham.gov.uk Alternatively, write to Business Support Office, Sport and Leisure Services, Lewisham Council, 2nd Floor Laurence House, Catford, London SE6 4RU The deadline for submissions is December 2.
