A CUSTOMER turned author is auctioning off a signed copy of his book to raise money for his favourite charity shop.
2gether, in High Street, Chislehurst, owned by Clare Herriot will be auctioning Chameleon 2012, the latest novel by Chislehurst author David Albert.
The sale opened on internet site Ebay yesterday with bidding starting at £20.
Mr Albert said: “I have always supported people who need help and have donated a lot of donations over the years. I am pleased to be able to offer my new book to raise money for the charity.”
Mrs Herriot was charmed by the gesture.
The 41-year-old said: “It’s lovely. The fact that he’s local and one of our customers makes it all the more special.”
