TWO men have been found guilty of the “roadside execution” of an innocent man in a case of mistaken identity.

Michael Ofori, 35, was shot as he sat in his car on Oslac Road, Catford, last June.

He had been mistaken for Perry Walters – a man who his attackers had been involved in a series of violent altercations with.

Nicholas Allon-McVytie had driven a van seen speeding away from the scene while Sahid Sule coordinated the execution from his mobile phone.

Sule himself had been shot last March in Kirkdale, Sydenham, when Mr Walters black Nissan Micra drove into his car.

Allon-McVytie, aged 23, of Vanguard Street, Deptford, and Sule, aged 23, of no fixed address, were both found guilty of murder at the Old Bailey today (Oct 18).

They will be sentenced on Friday.

But the Old Bailey jury were unable to reach a verdict on Nathaniel Valton, aged 23, of Adolphus Street, Deptford, who was accused of being the gunman.

The jury could also not reach a verdict on 25-year-old Jules Brown of Newham, who was also accused of murder.

A hearing on October 28 will rule on whether the pair should be tried again.

Kraig Isaacs, aged 21, of Malpas Road, Brockley, was cleared of the killing.
