A LONG-DELAYED redevelopment of Charlton's lido is still on track for completion next year, Greenwich Council claims.
Greenwich Leisure Limited took on the lido's lease earlier this year to help deliver the refurbishment - which includes a 50m heated pool.
In a council report, officers say they are preparing a design brief and tender documents for the scheme and expect it to be complete by next spring.
With £165,000 secured from the Mayor of London and a further £100,000 from swimming's governing body the ASA, another bid has gone in for money from the new Sport England Inspired Facilities Fund.
The report also says a new artificial cricket wicket will be installed in Hornfair Park next March, ready for the 2012 season.
