POLICE are appealing for witnesses to the crash which killed 14-year-old schoolboy Kaine May.
Kemnal Technology College student Kaine, who lived in Bexley, died after being hit by a black Honda Accord on the A20 outside Flamingo Park, on the border of Chislehurst and Sidcup.
The Met Police’s Road Death Investigation Unit is urging anyone who saw the incident, which happened at around 3.45pm on Sunday.
Police officers and paramedics attended the crash, but Kaine was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post mortem examination yesterday gave the cause of death as multiple injuries.
An inquest has been opened and adjourned at Croydon Coroner's Court.
Any witnesses or anyone with information should call the Road Death Investigation Unit on 020 8285 1574 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
- The driver of the Accord, a 34-year-old man, stopped at the scene and has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving. He has been bailed to return to a south London police station in October.
