IT rained and rained but nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of the Montbelle kids as they “did it for Freddie”.
Pupils from nursery to Year 6 took part in a multi-skills day for the Freddie Farmer Foundation on July 7 and raised a wonderful £360 for their schoolmate, Freddie.
The event was organised by teacher Claire Helps with invaluable help from Progressive Sports.
You might have assumed the event would be called off but Progressive Sports’ Kevin Watts said: “The Montbelle children were so resilient. I was astonished they all seemed to be having a great time!”
Claire said: “Everyone got drenched but the smiles never left their faces.”
In typical Freddie style, he went round all the classes and thanked everyone for taking part and for their donations.
